About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and consent study participants in accordance with approved protocols
- Coordinate and facilitate in-person study visits, including collecting patient-reported and clinical data
- Perform blood draws and assist with surgical specimen collection, processing, and storage
- Enter and maintain accurate study data in research databases while performing routine QA/QC
- Support IRB regulatory activities, including submissions, amendments, and safety reporting
- Document and route adverse events (AEs/SAEs) according to institutional and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners such as clinicians, nursing, and laboratory staff to maintain protocol adherence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Two (2) years of experience coordinating clinical research studies or clinical trials
- Experience with data collection, data entry, and maintaining data confidentiality
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for maintaining complex spreadsheets
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of directly related clinical research coordination experience
- Training or qualification to perform venipuncture (blood draws)
- Experience with IRB/regulatory submissions and study lifecycle management
- Familiarity with clinical/research systems such as Epic/MiChart, eResearch, OnCore, or REDCap
- Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and human subjects research procedures
