About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investigators and healthcare teams to manage patient activities and coordinate clinical studies for the Drug Development Program.
- Coordinate patient activities including sample collection, processing, and shipment according to clinical trial protocols.
- Perform clinical assessments, vital signs, ECGs, monitoring, and administration of treatments as per study protocols.
- Assist with clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and implement data collection and source documentation in accordance with UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure/registration.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in oncology with a strong knowledge base.
- Excellent phlebotomy, IV, and CVL skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office software (Word and Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNA certification in Oncology.
- deSouza Chemo/Bio certification.
- Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA).
- Previous clinical research experience.
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures.
