About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit study participants through identification, screening, and obtaining informed consent
- Coordinate patient visit schedules according to study protocols
- Execute study visit aspects including adverse event assessment, safety monitoring, and medication administration
- Collect, process, and ship biological samples according to clinical protocols
- Provide clinical care and implement data collection and source documentation per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of clinical or professional experience
- Registered Nurse designation
- Strong knowledge of Phase I Clinical Trials
- Ability to utilize the nursing process for patient care planning and evaluation
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognized clinical research certification (ACRP or SOCRA)
- Chemotherapy certification (deSouza Institute)
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office software
