About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Investigators and healthcare teams to manage patient care and coordinate Phase 1 clinical studies for the Drug Development Program.
- Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent.
- Coordinate patient visit schedules and execute all aspects of study visits, including monitoring safety, administering treatments, and assessing adverse events.
- Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, and sample collection, including processing and shipment according to clinical protocols.
- Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation in accordance with UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical or professional experience.
- Strong knowledge base in Phase I Clinical Trials.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA).
- Chemotherapy certification (deSouza Institute).
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures.
