About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent
- Coordinate patient visit schedules according to study protocols
- Execute all aspects of study visits, including monitoring safety, assessing adverse events, and administering treatments
- Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, and sample collection, processing, and shipment
- Provide clinical care for trial participants and manage data collection and source documentation in accordance with UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Registered Nurse (RN) designation with at least 3 years of experience
- 3 to 5 years of clinical or professional experience
- Strong knowledge base in Phase I Clinical Trials
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA)
- Chemotherapy certification (deSouza Institute)
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures
