About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investigators and healthcare teams to manage patient coordination and clinical studies for the Phase 1 Drug Development Program.
- Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent.
- Coordinate patient visit schedules according to study protocols.
- Execute all aspects of study visits, including assessing adverse events, monitoring safety, administering treatments, and performing vital signs and ECGs.
- Manage sample collection, processing, and shipment in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation following UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- 3 to 5 years of clinical or professional experience.
- Strong knowledge base in Phase I Clinical Trials.
- Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA).
- Chemotherapy certification (deSouza Institute).
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures.
