About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with investigators and healthcare teams to manage patient coordination and clinical studies for the Phase 1 Drug Development Program.
  • Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent.
  • Coordinate patient visit schedules according to study protocols.
  • Execute all aspects of study visits, including assessing adverse events, monitoring safety, administering treatments, and performing vital signs and ECGs.
  • Manage sample collection, processing, and shipment in accordance with clinical protocols.
  • Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation following UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical or professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge base in Phase I Clinical Trials.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA).
  • Chemotherapy certification (deSouza Institute).
  • Training in ICH/GCP guidelines.
  • Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures.
