About the role

Responsibilities

  • Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent
  • Coordinate patient visit schedules in strict accordance with study protocols
  • Execute all aspects of study visits, including adverse event assessment, safety monitoring, and medication management
  • Perform sample collection, processing, and shipment according to clinical protocols
  • Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials
  • Manage data collection and source documentation within required timeframes following UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or recognized equivalent) in a health or science-related discipline
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical and/or professional experience
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience in oncology, with a strong knowledge base in Leukemia/BMT
  • Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical research certification (ACRP or SOCRA)
  • Previous clinical research experience
  • Training in ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures
  • Experience in research contract budget management
