About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent
- Coordinate patient visit schedules in strict accordance with study protocols
- Execute all aspects of study visits, including adverse event assessment, safety monitoring, and medication management
- Perform sample collection, processing, and shipment according to clinical protocols
- Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials
- Manage data collection and source documentation within required timeframes following UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or recognized equivalent) in a health or science-related discipline
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 3 to 5 years of clinical and/or professional experience
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in oncology, with a strong knowledge base in Leukemia/BMT
- Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and set priorities in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical research certification (ACRP or SOCRA)
- Previous clinical research experience
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures
- Experience in research contract budget management
