About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit study participants by identifying and screening potential subjects and obtaining informed consent
- Coordinate patient visit schedules in strict accordance with study protocols
- Execute all aspects of study visits, including assessing adverse events and monitoring safety
- Manage medication, questionnaires, and sample collection, including processing and shipment according to clinical protocols
- Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials
- Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation within required timeframes per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 3 to 5 years of clinical and/or professional experience
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in oncology with a strong knowledge base in GI oncology
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and set priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous clinical research experience
- Recognized certification in clinical research (ACRP or SOCRA)
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines
- Knowledge of IATA shipping regulations and basic laboratory procedures
