About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day clinical trial tasks including participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up.
  • Perform data entry activities, including Protected Health Information (PHI), clinical, and billing data, while maintaining accurate research files.
  • Prepare data reports and perform periodic auditing to ensure compliance with university, sponsor, and federal policies.
  • Manage specimen processing and adhere to workplace and patient safety protocols.
  • Coordinate fiscal transactions related to studies, such as participant compensation.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement by coordinating research team meetings, investigator check-ins, and sponsor visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant clinical research field.
  • Phlebotomy Certification (or equivalent such as CMA, Nursing, or Medical degree) current or obtained within 3 months.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work semi-independently in a deadline-driven, multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in a clinical research setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and research data entry tools (e.g., Epic, REDCap, Qualtrics).
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, HIPAA, and IRB regulatory activities.
  • Experience in laboratory settings or observational research.
