About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct participant recruitment, retention, and follow-up activities for the MESA cohort and other Division studies
  • Obtain informed consent, conduct telephone interviews, and coordinate study visit schedules
  • Accompany participants during study visits and collect physical measurements such as blood pressure and anthropometry
  • Ensure accuracy and timely collection of study data, questionnaires, and research records
  • Maintain compliance with institutional, protocol, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Perform data entry, data verification, and assist with the maintenance of research databases and tracking systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience
  • Experience in participant recruitment, follow-up, or survey/interview administration within a research setting
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (speaking and reading)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a research team

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of related clinical research experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Experience with observational or NIH-funded research studies
  • Experience with REDCap, Epic, Qualtrics, or other clinical research data systems
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and human subjects research regulations
