About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct participant recruitment, retention, and follow-up activities for the MESA cohort and other Division studies
- Obtain informed consent, conduct telephone interviews, and coordinate study visit schedules
- Accompany participants during study visits and collect physical measurements such as blood pressure and anthropometry
- Ensure accuracy and timely collection of study data, questionnaires, and research records
- Maintain compliance with institutional, protocol, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Perform data entry, data verification, and assist with the maintenance of research databases and tracking systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience
- Experience in participant recruitment, follow-up, or survey/interview administration within a research setting
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (speaking and reading)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a research team
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of related clinical research experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience with observational or NIH-funded research studies
- Experience with REDCap, Epic, Qualtrics, or other clinical research data systems
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and human subjects research regulations
