About the role

Responsibilities

  • Screen hospital patients for qualification according to protocol criteria via electronic medical records
  • Consent participants into research studies and coordinate study assessments with the care team
  • Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, blood pressure readings, pulse, and cognitive assessments
  • Manage the collection, labeling, and processing of laboratory specimens such as blood and sputum
  • Accurately collect and enter data from electronic medical records into research charts or electronic systems
  • Schedule and conduct study-related appointments, return visits, and tests
  • Maintain up-to-date personal vaccinations and immunizations in accordance with institutional policies
  • Work varying shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous coverage

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures
  • Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
  • Two years of general workforce experience
  • Previous experience conducting research
  • Experience working in a patient-facing setting
