Clinical Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support participant care and event operations, including phlebotomy, specimen handling, and documentation.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections while maintaining aseptic technique and participant comfort.
• Handle and prepare biospecimens, including labeling, processing, packaging, and maintaining chain-of-custody and temperature controls.
• Accurately document all procedures and results in approved electronic or paper systems according to regulatory compliance (GxP, HIPAA).
• Help set up and manage clinical research event stations and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Welcome participants and guide them through the event flow to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing phlebotomy and specimen handling activities.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen handling best practices.
• Tech readiness and comfort using mobile apps and e-source tools for real-time documentation.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, event-based environment with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish (fluent in both written and verbal communication).
• Experience working on clinical drug trials.
