Clinical Research Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical research coordinators with collecting data from research patients
• Perform required training including GCP, IATA, and protocol-specific modules
• Learn specific study protocol details
• Perform refractions and vision testing
• Provide care for study patients during visits and perform diagnostic testing
• Schedule appointments and educate patients regarding retinal conditions and study protocols
• Perform data entry for multiple Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems
• Capture OCT imaging for study patients
• Label, export, and upload images via reading center submission portals

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
• Ability to master multiple computer systems for data entry and retrieval
• Knowledge of (or ability to learn) ophthalmology and retina terminology
• Ability and willingness to perform venipunctures and process samples
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds
