About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist clinical research coordinators with collecting data from research patients
- Perform required training including GCP, IATA, and protocol-specific modules
- Learn specific study protocol details
- Perform refractions and vision testing
- Provide care for study patients during visits and perform diagnostic testing
- Schedule appointments and educate patients regarding retinal conditions and study protocols
- Perform data entry for multiple Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems
- Capture OCT imaging for study patients
- Label, export, and upload images via reading center submission portals
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
- Ability to master multiple computer systems for data entry and retrieval
- Knowledge of (or ability to learn) ophthalmology and retina terminology
- Ability and willingness to perform venipunctures and process samples
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds
