About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced quality assurance (QA) for linear accelerators and CT simulators
  • Contribute to the commissioning of new clinical equipment and software
  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise QA database and associated workflows
  • Participate in cross-calibration of dosimetry equipment, including ion chambers and electrometers
  • Oversee daily QA processes across the Main Campus and Koch Center
  • Support clinical operations in external beam radiotherapy physics
  • Maintain QA datasets and documentation within clinical systems
  • Evaluate and implement new QA technologies and lead projects within the Radiation Dosimetry Core

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in medical physics or related physical sciences
  • ABR board certification or eligibility
  • New York State License and New Jersey registration or eligibility
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining Linac and CT simulator QA systems
  • Strong programming and computer skills
  • Ability to travel periodically to all MSK facilities as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with database management and documentation systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including radiation oncologists and therapists
