About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive ASD diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents
  • Conduct clinical intake and consent processes
  • Perform ADI-R developmental history (virtual delivery acceptable)
  • Conduct ADOS-2 autism observations face-to-face in clinic
  • Administer cognitive assessments (WISC-V or WAIS)
  • Integrate MDT input from OT and SaLT into diagnostic formulation
  • Provide feedback sessions and comprehensive written reports

Requirements

  • Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Clinical Psychology
  • PSI Chartership or Department of Health validation
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Formal ADOS-2 training
  • Experience completing ASD diagnostic assessments independently
  • Professional indemnity insurance

Preferred Qualifications

  • ADI-R formal training
  • Experience within a Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT)
  • Previous work within neurodevelopmental or specialist ASD services
