About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive ASD diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents
- Conduct clinical intake and consent processes
- Perform ADI-R developmental history (virtual delivery acceptable)
- Conduct ADOS-2 autism observations face-to-face in clinic
- Administer cognitive assessments (WISC-V or WAIS)
- Integrate MDT input from OT and SaLT into diagnostic formulation
- Provide feedback sessions and comprehensive written reports
Requirements
- Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Clinical Psychology
- PSI Chartership or Department of Health validation
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
- Formal ADOS-2 training
- Experience completing ASD diagnostic assessments independently
- Professional indemnity insurance
Preferred Qualifications
- ADI-R formal training
- Experience within a Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT)
- Previous work within neurodevelopmental or specialist ASD services
