About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and direct clinical services in operational psychology to support special operations forces (SOF)
- Develop, plan, and initiate resiliency programs to prevent and treat behavioral health issues
- Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the DSM and provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups
- Practice within the guidelines of state licensing boards, APA Ethical Principles, and MTF privileges
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited institution
- Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship or residency
- Minimum of two years of experience in independent clinical practice within the last five years
- Active, unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in a U.S. state or territory
- Ability to obtain practice privileges from the servicing military medical treatment facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a government setting, such as the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF
