About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and direct clinical services in operational psychology to support special operations forces (SOF)
  • Develop, plan, and initiate resiliency programs to prevent and treat behavioral health issues
  • Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the DSM and provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups
  • Practice within the guidelines of state licensing boards, APA Ethical Principles, and MTF privileges

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited institution
  • Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship or residency
  • Minimum of two years of experience in independent clinical practice within the last five years
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in a U.S. state or territory
  • Ability to obtain practice privileges from the servicing military medical treatment facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a government setting, such as the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF
