About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach and coordinate assigned didactic courses within the Doctor of Pharmacy Program
- Support clinical labs and workshops
- Rotate through assigned clinical practice sites to serve as a preceptor and role model for students
- Mentor pharmacy and medical residents
- Engage in collaborative clinical and academic research or other scholarly activities
- Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community
Requirements
- Pharm.D degree
- Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the state of Illinois within 6 months of hiring
- Superior clinical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to interprofessional practice and education
Preferred Qualifications
- Record of excellence in clinical practice and academic performance
- Previous experience working in the profession as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Previous teaching experience
- Productivity in original research
