Clinical Placement Specialist

Responsibilities

• Convene permanency teams consisting of biological family members, relatives, and fictive kin
• Perform level of care assessments using OCFS-approved, evidence-based instruments
• Prepare court reports and written summaries detailing assessment findings
• Attend court hearings to present evidence regarding child level of care
• Facilitate re-assessments for placement replacements if required by the court
• Maintain complete and accurate case records in Connections or other designated systems

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school
• Valid New York State Registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW)
• Substantial experience in family team conferences, clinical group work, or professional training in child/family services
• Ability to obtain LCSW or LMSW within one year of appointment if not already held
