About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage external practicum and placement components for the Communication Sciences and Disorders program.
  • Identify, recruit, and evaluate adult and pediatric practicum sites and qualified preceptors.
  • Establish and maintain clinical affiliation agreements and insurance documentation with external sites.
  • Coordinate external clinical seminars and practicum experiences in accordance with ASHA and New York State requirements.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision of diagnostic and therapeutic services at the Ladge Speech and Hearing Center.
  • Prepare and deliver midterm and final evaluations of graduate student clinicians.
  • Monitor student progress, credentials, and compliance with hour and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date databases of external sites, supervisors, and student clinical records.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative or management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical supervision.
  • ASHA certification.
  • New York State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with clinical placement coordination specifically within speech-language pathology.
