Clinical Operations, Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow and hospital capacity during non-business hours
• Provide administrative and clinical leadership to support hospital and nursing operations
• Assign and direct clinical and non-clinical staff as necessary to ensure appropriate care delivery
• Act as site commander for emergent issues and respond to hospital codes
• Liaise with internal and external healthcare professionals, families, and community members
• Ensure staff compliance with quality improvement programs and professional standards
• Facilitate professional development for staff and maintain personal professional growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Five years of relevant experience, including at least three years in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• BCLS Level II certification (Basic Rescuer)
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Two years of progressive administrative experience in a nursing setting
• Critical Care experience
• Experience working in a unionized environment
• Membership in a specialty-related professional organization
