About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to hospitalized oncology patients with complex wounds
- Perform detailed assessments and develop treatment plans to optimize wound healing and patient outcomes
- Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide education and support to patients and families throughout various stages of treatment
Requirements
- 1.5 - 2 years of Clinical RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid New York State RN License
- BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) care
- CWON certification or current enrollment in a WOC Education Program
- Experience working in an acute care setting
