About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a caseload of patients undergoing radiological examinations and targeted radionuclide therapy
- Provide clinical support to staff members, including acquiring IV access and monitoring patients during therapeutic radioisotope administration
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and offer patient and family education regarding symptom management
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary radiology theranostic team to ensure continuity of care
- Make timely, high-quality clinical decisions to maintain high standards of nursing care
Requirements
- New York State RN license and BSN degree
- Minimum of 1.5 years of related clinical experience
- BCLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- 1.5 – 2 years of oncology nursing experience
- Experience in a Radiology department
- Proficiency in IV skills
- ACLS certification
- National Nursing Certification
