Clinical Nurse Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of primary healthcare services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to staff, including mentoring and professional development.
• Oversee patient intake, assessment, care planning, referrals, and ongoing healthcare coordination.
• Ensure timely access to medical, nursing, allied health, and drug and alcohol services.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation, and compliance.
• Identify service delivery issues and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage staffing resources, rosters, and clinical supplies effectively.
• Lead clinical review meetings, case conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions.
• Maintain a personal clinical caseload as required.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration (Division 1).
• Relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Minimum of five years' clinical nursing experience within an operational healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in primary health, correctional health, community health, or a complex healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and continuous quality improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with electronic medical record systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict-resolution skills.
