About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of primary healthcare services within a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to staff, including mentoring and professional development.
- Oversee patient intake, assessment, care planning, referrals, and ongoing healthcare coordination.
- Ensure timely access to medical, nursing, allied health, and drug and alcohol services.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation, and compliance.
- Identify service delivery issues and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage staffing resources, rosters, and clinical supplies effectively.
- Lead clinical review meetings, case conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions.
- Maintain a personal clinical caseload as required.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration (Division 1).
- Relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Minimum of five years' clinical nursing experience within an operational healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in primary health, correctional health, community health, or a complex healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and continuous quality improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict-resolution skills.
