Clinical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care and protocol integrity for clinical trials, ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and symptom documentation.
• Facilitate the informed consent process by assessing patient understanding and addressing barriers to decision-making.
• Coordinate with Principal Investigators, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure proper use of study drugs and protocol compliance.
• Provide patient and family education regarding clinical conditions, treatment procedures, and medical device usage.
• Manage medication reconciliation, patient compliance, and inventory while ensuring regulatory compliance with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters in the legal medical record.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nursing (RN) License for the state in which the role is based.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
• Strong understanding of standard research and oncology care practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in oncology nursing.
• Experience working within clinical trial environments.
