Clinical Nurse II

Responsibilities

• Provide independent patient care through the application of the nursing process for patients ranging from infancy to adulthood
• Manage complex patient care assignments appropriate to skill level
• Utilize evidence-based practice to integrate clinical expertise with patient preferences
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives at the unit level
• Collaborate with inter-professional healthcare teams to coordinate care across the continuum
• Utilize clinical information systems and technology to manage knowledge and mitigate error
• Serve as a resource for safety concerns and problem-solving

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• 1 year of RN experience in pediatric critical care OR 2 years of RN experience in neonatal or adult critical care OR 2 years of RN experience in pediatric or adult cardiac acute care
• Registered Nurse license by California Board of Registered Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by AHA
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by AHA (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
