Clinical Nurse Educator

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching in procedural skills, resuscitation medicine, and simulation to groups of Melbourne MD students
• Plan, timetable, and organise simulation and skills sessions, including the preparation of equipment and clinical environments
• Provide formative feedback and summative assessment, including bedside tutorials and supervision of procedures on patients
• Maintain stock control of procedural equipment and consumables
• Collaborate with clinical, simulation, and academic colleagues on research, curriculum review, and Clinical School activities

Requirements

• Current Division 1 Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
• Substantial acute hospital clinical experience
• Demonstrated experience teaching procedural and resuscitation skills, including supervising invasive procedures
• Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing timetabling and administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support certification
• Formal education qualifications
• Expertise in simulation-based education
