Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inpatient stroke pathway at Calderdale Royal Hospital
• Lead and develop the speech and language therapy team within the acute stroke service
• Manage a complex caseload and coordinate service delivery across multiple settings
• Perform specialist assessments and implement evidence-based care plans
• Provide supervision, support, and training to the clinical team
• Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and MDT meetings
• Ensure high-quality patient care within budgetary constraints

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Extensive experience with adult caseloads, specifically stroke and dysphagia
• Proven leadership and clinical team management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
