About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens
- Follow standard operating procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analyses
- Perform, review, and document laboratory quality control procedures
- Prepare reagents required for laboratory testing
- Perform proficiency testing and assist in research and validation activities
- Identify and troubleshoot basic issues affecting test performance
- Document corrective actions for test system deviations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
- Active California CLS or CGMBS license
- Experience in high complexity clinical laboratory testing
- Experience with molecular testing (PCR, Microarray, Sanger/NGS sequencing) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm
