Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform and report automated and manual clinical laboratory test results with minimal supervision
• Maintain laboratory supplies and prepare reagents required for daily testing operations
• Verify quality control, release laboratory results for reporting, and notify supervisors of potential issues
• Support assay improvements, new assay configurations, and validation activities
• Ensure strict compliance with CLIA, CAP, safety, quality, and company procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete all required training and continuing education
• Support audits, inspections, special projects, and training activities for laboratory personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
• 0-5 years of relevant laboratory experience
• Working knowledge of Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP) and CLIA requirements
• Proficiency with general laboratory techniques and complex testing procedures (e.g., Hematology, Molecular, Microbiology, or Immunology)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing and walking
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Flow Cytometry or Special Chemistry
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues
• Proficiency in performing complex laboratory calculations including standard deviations and quality control metrics
