About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses according to standard operating procedures
- Process clinical specimens and perform extraction lab tasks
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Perform, review, and document laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Prepare reagents required for laboratory testing
- Maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies for daily operations
- Identify and resolve basic technical problems affecting test performance or laboratory operations
- Maintain stringent standards for quality and safety in accordance with company policies
Requirements
- Associate degree in laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- Completion of 60 semester hours of accredited coursework, including specific requirements in medical laboratory technology or science
- Professional working knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to perform technical work up to 95% of the working day and lift up to 40 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
- Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles
