Clinical Laboratory QC Associate

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily quality control operations are effective and efficient by coordinating with leadership to resolve process issues.
• Identify errors, troubleshoot web lab metrics, and review/approve QC metrics for NGS.
• Prepare monthly reports for the medical director and QC reports for NGS data deliverables.
• Assist the QC Supervisor in maintaining section turn-around times and organizing work priorities.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure critical reagent documentation and lot-to-lot testing meet guidelines.
• Perform patient testing and report reviews as indicated by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Support the company’s Quality Management System and assist with knowledge transfer of new laboratory procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or biological/chemical sciences.
• Minimum of 6 chemistry credits and 6 biology credits (with a combined total of 24 credits in these subjects).
• 1+ years of laboratory experience, including routine performing and reviewing of quality control.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of molecular diagnostic laboratory experience with a focus in NGS.
• 2+ years of relevant experience within a technical laboratory.
• Appropriate certification from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP) or equivalent state licensure.
