Clinical Laboratory Associate II, Accessioning

Responsibilities

• Unpack samples from shipping containers and accession them into LIMS, including troubleshooting sample and LIMS errors
• Prioritize workload to meet production goals regarding throughput and quality
• Perform equipment maintenance according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory materials, supplies, and equipment
• Monitor and record temperatures, perform root cause analysis of deviations, and implement resolutions
• Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from performance specifications
• Assist in the annual review of standard operating procedures and write/revise SOPs as needed
• Manage and organize laboratory, equipment, personnel, and training documentation
• Identify process improvement opportunities and report concerns regarding test quality or safety to management

Requirements

• AA degree or high school diploma with related laboratory experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high complexity laboratory
• High level of competency in following protocol processing steps and supporting functions
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with internal employees and managers
