Clinical Lab Scientist II

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing and analyses according to standard operating procedures
• Interpret and report patient results while maintaining stringent quality control and quality assurance standards
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and prepare necessary reagents
• Identify and resolve basic technical problems affecting test performance or laboratory operations
• Manage daily test processing needs and maintain sufficient inventory of laboratory supplies
• Participate in the testing and validation of new laboratory equipment and procedures
• Support quality management systems and assist with inspection preparation activities
• Conduct training and competency assessments for team members as assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology
• 2+ years of CAP/CLIA clinical laboratory experience
• Professional working knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology
• Experience in molecular biology techniques and principles
• Experience working with laboratory information systems
