Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS)

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical patient testing using automated and non-automated technologies
• Evaluate the accuracy and validity of patient test results
• Monitor and evaluate quality control (QC) for all tests according to established protocols
• Participate in quality management studies and performance improvement projects
• Maintain laboratory equipment through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
• Document critical values and maintain organized, legible records of all activities
• Perform accreditation-related tasks, including CAP competency and proficiency testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related science
• Valid Montana state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• Minimum of 2 years of related CLS experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn laboratory software
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
