Clinical Lab Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in delivering hands-on instruction in core nursing skills, including physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy
• Provide guided practice, coaching, and remediation support to students to reinforce clinical reasoning and safe patient care
• Support competency check-offs and skills validation processes under faculty supervision
• Maintain a safe, organized, and student-ready lab environment within the Learning Resource Center
• Assist with the preparation, setup, and stocking of lab supplies and medical equipment
• Document student participation, skills progression, and competency outcomes in alignment with program and accreditation requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
• Current, unencumbered Ohio RN license (or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date)
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in acute care, long-term care, or other relevant settings
• Demonstrated ability to teach foundational nursing skills and provide constructive student feedback
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a professional learning environment
• Ability to adhere to strict safety and infection-control protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing
• Prior experience teaching clinical skills in a lab, clinical, or academic setting
• Experience conducting competency check-offs or skills validation
• Familiarity with competency-based education and skills assessment methods
• Experience supporting student remediation and progression
