Clinical Lab Associate 1

Responsibilities

• Perform nucleic acid extraction from various sample types in a BSL-2 laboratory
• Quantify extracted materials following QC protocols
• Prepare materials for library prep using automated and manual procedures
• Record sample processing workflows in real-time via LIMS
• Maintain robotic liquid handlers and other laboratory instruments
• Assist in data transfer and basic QC evaluation of data
• Perform troubleshooting and system evaluations in coordination with support teams
• Maintain supplies and equipment to meet budgetary and quality goals
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality control procedures and safety protocols
• Document all corrective actions for test system deviations

Requirements

• BA/BS in a biological discipline
• 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and demanding environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Hamilton or other robotic liquid handlers
• Experience with LIMS or sample management tracking systems
• Knowledge of quantification devices such as TapeStation, Qubit, or qPCR
