Clinical Instructor, Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide competent teaching through the articulation of the practice-theory relationship and incorporation of research into clinical practice
• Utilize creative and varied teaching strategies to facilitate learning
• Serve as a clinical role model and teaching clinician in specialty areas of nursing
• Facilitate a positive, collaborative learning climate that values diversity, integrity, and professional behavior
• Deliver instruction primarily through in-person didactics and clinical sections, with some online components
• Serve on college/university committees and participate in professional organizations

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing earned prior to start date
• Valid Ohio nursing license earned prior to start date
• At least two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical nursing experience, specifically in Psychiatric or OB specialties
• Teaching experience in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program
• Experience working with diverse populations
