About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide competent teaching through the articulation of the practice-theory relationship and incorporation of research into clinical practice
- Utilize creative and varied teaching strategies to facilitate learning
- Serve as a clinical role model and teaching clinician in specialty areas of nursing
- Facilitate a positive, collaborative learning climate that values diversity, integrity, and professional behavior
- Deliver instruction primarily through in-person didactics and clinical sections, with some online components
- Serve on college/university committees and participate in professional organizations
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing earned prior to start date
- Valid Ohio nursing license earned prior to start date
- At least two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical nursing experience, specifically in Psychiatric or OB specialties
- Teaching experience in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program
- Experience working with diverse populations
