Clinical Instructor, Nursing Lab Simulation Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate simulated lab experiences using computerized simulation, task trainers, and human patient simulators.
• Organize and prepare the simulation lab, including developing scenarios and operating simulation equipment and audio-video systems.
• Provide instruction support in the laboratory setting, teaching basic, intermediate, and advanced nursing skills.
• Conduct formal skills check-offs, competency evaluations, and individualized remediation for students.
• Maintain simulation mannequins, computer technology, and lab supplies to ensure a safe and functional learning space.
• Deliver didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction to undergraduate nursing students using active learning strategies.
• Mentor and support students throughout the BSN curricula, including pre-nursing students with prerequisite coursework.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a Nursing discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse (RN).
• Unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio by the start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification by the start date.
• Ability to meet State of Ohio Board of Nursing requirements.
• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and commitment to student success.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching.
• Experience organizing and managing groups of nursing students to meet learning outcomes.
• Proficiency in course management software and classroom instruction technology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience providing direct patient care in hospital, clinic, outpatient, or community settings.
