About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise undergraduate nursing students during clinical practice, skills labs, and simulation center activities.
- Plan and coordinate clinical activities in alignment with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum.
- Support students in developing clinical judgment and practical skills under the direction of lead course faculty.
- Adhere to all laws and rules governing nursing as outlined by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Maintain compliance with John Carroll University Department of Nursing policies and the standards of affiliated clinical agencies.
- Collaborate with the BSN Program Director and lead course faculty to ensure student success.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or current enrollment in a graduate-level nursing program (Master's or Doctoral).
- Current, valid, and unencumbered Ohio nursing license.
- At least 2 years of clinical practice experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to pass criminal history and background checks.
- Compliance with required immunizations, TB testing, and urine drug screening.
