Clinical Fellow in Hematology

Responsibilities

• Ensure diagnostic management of benign or malignant hematopathies
• Act as a medical referent for the hematology laboratory, integrating clinical and analytical activities
• Interpret blood and bone marrow cytological examinations and flow cytometry
• Participate in the development of spectral cytometry in collaboration with the laboratory
• Perform bone marrow punctures and biopsies
• Collaborate with various laboratories (hematology, CMF, genetics, pathology, and molecular) and other hospital services
• Present cases to institutional hematology tumor boards as an expert in cytology and flow cytometry
• Contribute to the development of new skills and continuous improvement projects
• Supervise postgraduate hematology residents and participate in teaching cytology and flow cytometry

Requirements

• Federal medical degree or equivalent recognized in Switzerland (MEBEKO)
• Federal specialization diploma in hematology (FMH) or equivalent recognized in Switzerland
• Federal diploma in medical laboratories (FAMH) with specialization in hematology or equivalent
• Cantonal practice right (droit de pratique cantonal)
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Autonomy, rigor, and professional conscience
• French language proficiency (C1 level required for non-Francophones)
