Clinical Faculty Educator

Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom teaching in small group settings focusing on communication and patient interviewing skills
• Instruct students on physical examination, diagnosis, and clinical reasoning/decision-making skills
• Conduct clinical skills assessments, including providing professional rating and feedback
• Engage in educational leadership opportunities within specific courses
• Collaborate with the Medical Education team to support curriculum delivery

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree
• Current NEOMED faculty appointment with a rank of Assistant Professor or higher
• Board-eligible or board-certified in your area of clinical expertise
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Ohio
• Minimum of two years of experience in undergraduate or graduate medical program teaching

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated teaching expertise supported by student feedback or evaluations
• Proven skills in mentoring physicians-in-training
• Working knowledge of the transition to residency and the residency match process
• Ability to collaborate with faculty across disciplines to promote integrative learning
• Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds
