About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct teaching in small group settings focusing on communication and patient interviewing skills
- Instruct students in physical examination and diagnosis skills
- Lead sessions on clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Conduct clinical skills assessments, including providing ratings and constructive feedback
- Pursue opportunities for educational leadership within specific courses
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Current NEOMED faculty appointment with a rank of Assistant Professor or higher
- Board-eligible or board-certified in your area of clinical expertise
- Valid license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of two years of experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education teaching
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated teaching expertise supported by student feedback or evaluations
- Proven ability to mentor physicians-in-training
- Working knowledge of the transition to residency and the residency match process
- Ability to collaborate with faculty across various disciplines to promote integrative learning
- Experience working effectively with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds
