Clinical Director of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of research projects to facilitate their transition from laboratory findings to clinical studies.
• Coordinate the design of clinical protocols in collaboration with research professors, ensuring scientific, ethical, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and consolidate a scientific and clinical collaboration network involving doctors, hospitals, health centers, and international partners.
• Support the mentorship of graduate students and residents in translational research to develop clinical-scientific talent.
• Drive the Institute's participation in national and international research funding calls and health initiatives.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor degree (indispensable).
• Specialty or subspecialty in internal medicine, endocrinology, clinical nutrition, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice in relevant medical fields.
• Certification or formal training in clinical trial design and management.
• Proven experience in clinical or translational research, including indexed publications or participation in funded projects.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and ethical standards, including GCP and COFEPRIS.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2 level or higher).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in leadership roles within academic or clinical project management.
• Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring medical students or residents.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams involving nutrition, biology, bioengineering, and public health.
