Clinical Dietitian Nutrition II

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition care to assigned patients by assessing nutritional needs and developing, implementing, and re-evaluating nutritional care plans
• Ensure seamless coverage on inpatient units and collaborate with diverse clinical teams
• Counsel patients and caregivers regarding special nutrition needs and procedures prior to discharge
• Coordinate the provision of outpatient nutrition services as needed
• Create and update patient nutrition education materials
• Train and support staff as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Nutrition or a related field
• Clinical rotation/dietetic internship exposure or working Registered Dietitian experience in an inpatient/acute care hospital setting
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) in New York State

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for oncology nutrition and working with cancer patients
• Experience in an acute care setting
