About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nutritional care to both hospitalized and ambulatory patients
  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and evaluations
  • Make dietary recommendations and develop personalized nutritional care plans
  • Provide patient counseling and education regarding nutrition
  • Implement nutrition therapy orders and verify their execution
  • Monitor and evaluate patient adherence, acceptance, and tolerance of prescribed nutrition therapy
  • Re-evaluate and update nutrition care plans on a regular basis
  • Plan and direct the operations of the nutrition office

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
  • Current BLS certification from a Kentfield-approved vendor
  • Knowledge of modern principles and practices of dietetics
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards applicable to hospital food service
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with computer and software applications used in clinical job functions
