About the role
Responsibilities
- Scope out clinical informatics data analysis requests from internal and external customers and produce results within agreed deadlines
- Translate research questions into executable analytical code and rigorous quality datasets
- Write Databricks SQL queries to extract, analyze, and interpret clinical concepts from clinical notes
- Create dashboards, data visualizations, and data tools to support data-driven decision making
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure successful execution of clinical data projects
- Provide technical analytics support and troubleshoot data issues for internal stakeholders
- Deliver feedback to internal teams to help inform the Truveta product roadmap
Requirements
- Graduate or Master's degree in clinical research, data science, clinical informatics, health information management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience conducting analyses using large healthcare datasets (e.g., EHR, clinical notes, or other real-world data)
- 3+ years of experience translating research asks into analytical code and high-quality research analyses
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (R or Python)
- Experience working within Spark big data analytics environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spark/PySpark and Databricks
- Experience working with unstructured clinical data or natural language processing (NLP) outputs
- Proficiency in Regex query writing
- Experience building cohort definitions or eligibility criteria for research studies
