About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist psychological assessments and therapy to children and young people with severe and enduring mental health needs
- Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Lead psychological input across services, embedding trauma-informed care principles
- Provide consultation, guidance, and supervision to non-psychologist colleagues, trainees, and assistants
- Contribute to service development through research, audit, and teaching
- Work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining autonomy within professional guidelines
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally in residential or trauma-informed settings
- Proficiency in psychological formulation and therapeutic delivery across various models
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
