About the role
Responsibilities
- Function as a clinical resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals within the Comprehensive Integrated Pain Program
- Participate in the development of nursing standards, processes, and quality initiatives
- Perform a combination of clinic-based and procedure-related nursing work
- Emphasize health promotion and illness prevention through professional nursing practice
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Current licensure with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Level II Rescuer certification
- Minimum of 5 years of recent relevant nursing experience
- Computer literacy and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner under stressful conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Master’s degree in nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in chronic pain management
- Clinical competence in caring for adult chronic pain populations or patients with disabilities
- Research experience
