About the role

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic urologic conditions, including UTIs, BPH, kidney stones, and incontinence.
  • Perform comprehensive patient histories, physical exams, and office-based procedures such as catheter changes and urodynamics.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Manage Epic In Basket communications, including patient portal messages, prescription refills, and lab results, within 24-48 hours.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely charge capture (CPT, ICD-10) within 24-48 business hours of patient encounters.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease states, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Provide phone triage and assist in the training of new nursing staff.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing (or equivalent education and experience).
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience.
  • Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Current New York State DEA registration.
  • National NP Board Certification.
  • Ability to meet New York-Presbyterian Hospital credentialing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Urology or surgical specialties.
  • Proficiency utilizing Epic EMR.
  • Strong working knowledge of provider billing and documentation requirements.
