About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the evaluation process for potential transplant candidates and manage patient consults.
  • Maintain and manage patients on the liver/intestinal transplant waitlist in compliance with UNOS policies.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment of conditions, review of lab reports, and management of immunosuppression under supervision.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, hepatologists, and nurse practitioners to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between patients, families, and the clinical/research teams.
  • Facilitate documentation, clinical standards, and regulatory data reporting.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, administrative meetings, and patient education groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or equivalent in education and experience).
  • Valid New York State RN License.
  • 4 years of related clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office.
